Learn what generational trauma is from a spiritual perspective, how to spot it in yourself, and how to heal it in 3 easy steps.

Did you know you could be carrying around generational trauma?

It’s true – your behaviors, habits, and life experiences could actually be heavily influenced by the burden of this trauma.

And you wouldn’t even know it!

So, what exactly is this trauma?

The term generational trauma or ancestral trauma is used to describe trauma, wounding, and negative patterns that pass from generation to generation.

The mainstream definition is:

Traumatic event(s) that happened in past generations but that still heavily affect the current generation.

However, there’s a lot more going on both spiritually and energetically involving your chakras

BUT there are a few quick ways you can heal it.

So, in this week’s video, I’ll be unpacking:

💥 What generational trauma is on a spiritual level (this may surprise you)

💥 Why it’s a problem for us all?

💥 How to spot it in yourself

💥 How to heal it in 3 simple and quick steps

Now it’s over to you! Once you watch the video, let me know in the comments below:

I can never thank you enough Christina, for the positive impact and amount of healing that you have already precipitated into my life.

I have definitely recognized the Ancestral Trauma in my life. Way too much to express here, but now I know how to heal it thanks to you.

    Eternally grateful ☮️💕🙏🌹

  • How can ancestral people not be of the light..since the very aspect of passing takes you back to the light?

Hi Amarilla! Thank you so much for your question! While Christina does read all of her comments, she is not able to personally respond or offer guidance in the comments.

  • My mother and both her parents were in England during WWII. Bombs falling all around. My grandparents survived WW I in England. On both maternal and paternal sides they experienced the Great Depression and the 1919 Spanish flu. My dad’s brother died because of it. My dad was in the military in England and France in WW II.

I discovered a few years ago that I didn’t think it was a friendly universe. And felt there was no safe place for me. I have done healing work on this and other issues. My dad is American Indian (Native American)

    Now I
I feel there is a friendly loving universe that has my best interest at heart. And I am safe. The universe has my back 😀

  • Hi Christina
    Your videos are so helpful.
I’ve heard about clearing ancestral trauma, there is a lot of trauma from my families past and some of my own. I have suffered from a lot of mental health issues, mental and emotional pain especially fear and anxiety, loss of identity, guilt, self worth, relationship issues with my family and other people, communication issues, shame etc. There is also suicide in the family line alcoholism aswell. I have been feeling a lot of this in regards to my emotions. Religious fears that I have had on another level, possible persecution.
3 years ago I remember being so full of fear I could not function and was on my hands and knees it was horrendous! I lost pounds as I was shaking constantly and had to go on medication as a result.
I’m no longer on meds now as I weaned myself off a year ago but I’ve had a really rough time to the point I have thought about the S word but.
I really would like to clear it.
I’m concerned about my kids and grandkids now please help 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

  • Thank you for covering this topic and ways to clear ancestral trauma! This will be very helpful, and I can’t wait to start healing it.

My mom is a full-blooded Native American, and I can definitely ‘feel’ past trauma and know that a lot of my personality was shaped by it. I know my past generations were involved in “The Trail of Tears” historical event . . . so I will look into that to start.

With this new understanding, perhaps I have finally found out why I seem to sabotage any potential for long-lasting and strong relationships.

I really appreciate everything you do and hope to be on one of your retreats in the future.

  • I loved this, I am beginning to understand why I am the way I am now and why my children are the way they are. When I do ceremony and clear the ancestral trauma, will this help my children too? They are asleep at this time and think I’m bonkers in my beliefs but we still love each other very much. Thank you for all of this

  • Hi Christina, I recognise all of it, it is a aha moment 😊
    Thank you /Leila

Hello Christina i have a question, is phobia considered as an ancestor trauma? Cz im an Entomophobia (extreme fear of insects) and i dont know why! I didnt even had any crucial case or accident that was reasonable to have that phobia since my childhood! Insects cause me anxiety, fast heart beat, i loose control and my body shakes! In addition everyone keep telling me that im like an insect magnet 😅 they follow me wherever i go! I believe they trigger something in me..

Hello Christina and the rest of the Heart Alchemy crew!

I have been absolutely revelling in your videos and have found your advice to be incredibly helpful on my path. A massive thank you for the energy and effort you put into connecting through your blog, videos, programs etc. Very much appreciated.

Recently, while working through long-held family issues and generational trauma funnily enough, both my grandfather on my mother’s side and my father whom I was extremely close to passed away unexpectedly in the space of a couple of months of each other. It would be helpful – I’m sure not just for me but for many of your viewers that have experienced loss of loved ones – to gain an increased understanding of how we can process bodily death of people close to us in the midst of a spiritual awakening.

I understand that the death of one’s body is not the end of life and there is a continuation of consciousness that we can still connect to etc, but do you have any tips of how to integrate these very painful experiences into our spiritual path in a way that can better heal and help ourselves and others?
I would be very grateful for any pearls of wisdom on this subject.
I wish you all the best.

    Many thanks
    Genevieve Akindele, UK
