  • Thank you for clarifying to me that why I can’t follow the guidance usually given for the way we should pray…!!! Such violation of traditions is not taken very well – isn’t it ?? So, this clarity is worth it.

  • I dropped out of religion fifty years ago, and have never looked back. I have developed my own conversations with the Divine and have formed different rituals along the way, as well as affirmations and mantras. About ten years ago, I came across this advice: Every night before sleep, do this Rose, rose, thorn, bud ritual. The roses represent wonderful things that happened during the day such as seeing the first robin of spring or completing a chore, or whatever gave me joy such as a meeting with friends. Sometimes there is a whole bouquet. Then I come to the thorn, the thing that irked me or disappointed me that day. We must honor the shadow. Then there is the bud, the request, the insight we need, or whatever help we need now so it becomes manifest. My prayers are always internal, and I can say them anywhere. It is very handy when waiting in line, etc.

Thank you for this blog. I am happy to know that I am not the only one who has conversations with God.

  • Hi Christina, first of all, I like to thank you for your wonderful and inspiring videos which I always look forward to. This is my first leaving a comment after watching this particular video about the power of spiritual prayer. It seems to me that spiritual prayer is the same as meditations. Is my understanding correct and if not, what’s the difference, and when should we apply prayer vs meditation?
