Many teachers consider the ego a major barrier to spiritual evolution. But thanks to an Ayahuasca ceremony years ago, I’ve come to see things differently.
I struggled with my ego for years and at one point, started calling it the “little devil on my shoulder”. That’s how demeaning and dark my ego was.

So when I started my spiritual awakening, I just wanted my ego to die or shut the hell up.
I viewed it as an enemy and a negative force to transcend on the spiritual path.
And I know that feeling of animosity against the ego is very common for those of us awakening to the spiritual path.
Here’s a question I got from a viewer on this very topic:
“I’m tired of battling with my ego. How do I win this war?”
In this week’s video, I answer this question in depth and give you a completely different way of looking at your ego.
First, I define ego, so we’re all on the page as to its meaning.
Then, I answer this viewer’s question in depth by sharing a story of revelation about the ego that I received during a plant medicine ceremony.
While many teachers use the acronym “Edging God Out” for the ego, I came to see it as God’s Grace in some points in our lives. And I now believe that fighting the ego is not only unloving toward yourself, but it also creates a deep sense of separation (disintegration) from Divine Consciousness.
Well, that “fighting” energy ends today.
In this video, I’ll show you how to view your ego in a more loving way and as a consequence, you’ll never have issues with it ever again.

Hi Christina,
Thank you for this particular video. I would be interested in knowing more specifically how the ego protects. I understood you to say that it does, but what was missing for me was the how. Maybe it’s just me. 🙂
